The Mega launch ceremony of Marine BizTV, the global maritime channel was followed by the first time ever Marine BizTV Video Awards. The gala ceremony began with the screening of IMOs award winning documentary Invaders from the Sea screened for the first time outside UNO.
The Marine BizTV Video Awards were handed to the distinguished people of maritime community as a token of acknowledgement for their valuable services and accomplishments. Marine BizTV, the initiative of Aries Marine was made possible with the generous support of maritime community. To promote various corporate in the field and the outstanding videos they have made, Marine BizTV introduced the first ever maritime video awards, which were handed over at the launch ceremony.
The entire selection process involved many rounds of screening and short-listing. First and foremost categories were made and based on it videos from across the globe were reviewed by eminent editors of our team. From the editors desk four videos from each category was short listed and sent for final tabulation to experts from all walks of maritime field, who selected the winners. However the award winner was announced only at the mega event.
Apart from 15 awards in various categories, two special jury awards and life time achievement award for over all contribution was also given away. The special jury awards were Award for Marine Awareness for Children, Special Award for Maritime Excellence and Lifetime Achievement Award for Maritime Contribution. These were handed over for their uniqueness. Prof. Walter Stovhase was given the life time achievement award for his academic contribution to maritime society.
The huge success and appreciation the award ceremony had received made the management to have video award for all its launch functions in various realms identified as maritime hubs.
