The exposition with the theme “Maritime India- Path Ahead” kick-started on a high-profile with the inaugural address by Micheal Rosenberg, Vice President, E.J. Krause and Associates Inc., USA. The Guests of Honour were Hauke V Schlegel, Managing Director – VDMA German Marine and Offshore Equipment Industries Association Inc. and A.P.V.N.Sarma, Secretary (Shipping), Union Ministry of Shipping, India.

Two sessions on vital aspects of marine industry were discussed, viz. on Maritime Policy and Economic and Financial Crisis – Its Impact on Shipping Finance Markets.

The welcome speech was delivered by Arun K. Mago, Chairman, Advisory Council, SMM India 2009.

The event was addressed by Micheal Rosenberg, Vice President, E.J. Krause and Associates Inc., USA. A keynote address was delivered by Inspector General, SPS Basra, YSM, PTM, TM, Commander Coast Guard Region, West, India.

The Guests of Honour were Mr Hauke V Schlegel, Managing Director – VDMA German Marine and Offshore Equipment Industries Association Inc. and A.P.V.N.Sarma, Secretary (Shipping), Union Ministry of Shipping, India.

The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Sajan Sharma, Director, Inter Ads Exhibition Pvt. Ltd., India.
