This video introduce us to Peter Bergleiter, Project Manager, Hamburg Messe and Congress GmbH sharing vital information on SMM, the worlds biggest maritime show and shipbuilding fair.

Peter Bergleiter remarks that their next event, SMM 2010 will be in Hamburg with about 3000 exhibitors from more than 60 countries, expecting to make it a huge show. First time in India, SMM India 2009 facilitated to deliver international companies themselves in the Indian market by meeting Indian shipyards, Indian ship-owners and navy. He feels that India has a promising market and that there is a huge demand of the international technology. Hence the SMM organizers have brought about 50% exhibitors from outside India and 50% from India presenting a good networking opportunity making them look keen on more business and enlarging the show the next time.

Mr. Bergleiter also stated that they expect to organize SMM 2011 in Mumbai, India after Hamburg in 2010 as he feels it makes sense to have a constant exchange of knowledge, experiences and contacts apart from the fact that he sees a huge demand for Indian companies also to come to Hamburg next year. Hence the show on the whole offers opportunity to make business in India and also to bring it to Hamburg in order to meet the International Maritime Community and to strengthen the contacts and get some more business there, so its an excellent opportunity with good feedback from exhibitors and visitors as well.

The video takes us through the products displayed by Aimil Ltd in SMM India 09.

Working in collaboration with proof technic Germany for providing condition monitoring and laser alignment services, Aimil has products which deal with marine industry that can forecast the breakdown of machines and can also eliminate the conventional method for doing the alignment of shaft, from propeller to engine and gear box.

The stall also illustrates simple instrument (single level) to online systems (level 2) and expert system where there is no man power requirement to go and collect the data. Its online system allows to get the data in the control room and diagnose its failures.

Moreover, there is shaft alignment system for the marine industry where one can check the banding of the shaft. It can eliminate the use of piano via conventional method and can also reduce the time and increase the accuracy of the alignment. There are also basic systems for shaft alignments which can be used for any rotating machine were its power is transferred from one machine to another.

Aimil, since 1932 has a wide variety of instrumentation and has different divisions, civil engineering, tele communications, fibre optics, analytical division with the chemical engineering field and a separate consultancy division for all these services.

Aimil Ltd is a leading ISO:9001 (2001) certified company, with an all India network of eight offices, staffed and managed by over 530+ professionals with rich and varied experience in the instrumentation industry.

With focus instrumentation and over seven decades of experience, the company offers a range of the state of the art products from the reputed overseas manufactures, backed by local expertise and efficient pre & past sales support. Our mission is ‘to provide optimal Quality and Customer Service by innovation and integration of leading edge global technologies’.

In this video you will meet the pioneer manufactures of automatic filters, water filters and oil filters for different applications. In this video you can see filter spares fitted on filters which are called filter elements or filter candles. Also you can see filters for gas applications and ballast water applications. Lube oil filters type 6.46 which are being supplied to the most of the major engine manufactures like MAN, MTU, MAK etc. were also displayed. Oil filter that can give you filtration degree up to 6 microns were also available. The company Bollfilter supplies all the filters as well as the spares and double stage valves throughout the world.

Bollfilter protection systems has been one of the world-leading suppliers of filtration equipment for the last decades. As manufacturer of automatic, duplex and simplex filters we offer efficient solutions for the filtration of lubrication and fuel oil, gas and ballast water. Due to a steady R&D process all bollfilters have a long life span and are easy to maintain. In 2008, Boll & Kirch established a subsidiary in India. Bollfilter India is your local agency, stockist and service station.

•	Are you facing problems with battery reliability when it comes to starting an IC Engine?

•	Do you need that extra reliability when it comes to operating in low temperature regions when batteries are prone to giving problems?

•	Do you need that extra reliability for Emergency DG Sets, Life Boats, Fire Fighting Pumps and other critical operation to avoid any problems in case the engine fails to start?

The video takes a tour to the stalls of Aartech, the providers of specialized system solutions called KranKing, and this solution is basically available to energy and industry segments, particularly the marine industry.

INTRODUCING KRANKING TM ULTRACAPACITORS

The KranKing range of ultra capacitors has been specifically designed for high-reliability IC engine starting applications. It represents a breakthrough technology solution for banishing all your anxieties of battery failure. With ease, the KranKing TM devices can deliver the short-duration, high current discharge (pulse Power) needed for successful engine-cranking. This greatly reduces the burden on the batteries and increase both batteries’ and motor’s life. KranKing TM devices have a cycle life that is over a 100 times that of conventional IC-engine staring batteries, with the added advantage of a very wide operational range (-45oC to 55 oC) and Zero Maintenance.

KranKing TM Ultracapacitors are available in 12 and 24 Volt versions and different sizes, depending on applications, and are high power devices which are safe and fully compliant to meet the demand of todays IC engine cranking requirements, despite cold temperature and depleted batteries. KranKing TM Ultracapacitors has been specifically designed and engineered for the heavy-duty market, with models ranging in sizes to crank 200 HP to 3000 HP (or more) sized diesel engines.

KranKing Ultracapacitors are also available in portable units serving as a Jump Start device suitable for fleet operations.
