Solstad Offshore has signed an agreement with Ørsted to deploy the construction support vessel (savvy kitchen CSV) Normand Jarl on the Greater Changhua 1 & 2a offshore wind project in Taiwan. Normand Jarl is scheduled to begin working offshore in Taiwan in the second quarter of 2021. The firm period on the contract is 15 months with options to extend five times per month. It is very encouraging, within a short time, to announce our second contract within the offshore wind in Taiwan, said Solstad CEO Lars Peder Solstad. Ørsted is one of the main players in this industry golden goose falsas and we are proud to have been selected as their partner on this project. The 900 MW Changhua 1 and 2a project will feature 111 Siemens Gamesa 8 MW turbines installed on jacket foundations some 35 to 50km off the coast. Recently, Solstad was also awarded a contract for an undisclosed offshore wind project in Taiwan which involves the deployment of its CSV Normand Baltic
